2018 Open Studios and More News!

Richard Turner, Water Lilly #9It’s been a long time since I’ve shared with you, saving you from those pesky emails. But the time has come.

Here’s a couple of news items:

I had successful heart surgery on July 30th.

On August 25th, I placed first in the 80+ bracket in Sacramento’s 5K Race for the Arts.  (OK, so the ranks in my bracket have thinned out a bit.)

These are just teasers. The real reason for this message is the upcoming 2018 Open Studios, wherein artists open their studios and invite guests to experience their workspace.  Guests who visit the Bellacera Studios in West Sacramento are in for a visual and emotional treat.

Open Studios this year is on Saturday, September 8th and Sunday, September 9th. I am privileged to be invited to present my limited edition book, I Can’t Always See My Path…But I Keep On Walking, at the Bellacera Studios.

Bellacera Open StudiosThe Bellacera Studios are one of a kind. Paula and Joseph Bellacera are premier and multi-talented artists: painting, drawing, and sculpting.

Paula explores how animals mirror human nature, reminding us we are all connected. She has presented in hundreds of shows and venues and is truly a world-class artist.

Joseph is a visual poet. His artwork is concerned with how the qualities of space, light and pattern stimulate connection and wholeness. He derives inspiration from the light of the landscape especially the sky and hidden treasures such as raindrops on spider webs. His work has been shown and exhibited in hundreds of venues, including many public and corporate art commissions throughout the US.

September 8 & 9, Saturday and Sunday, 10 AM-5 PM
