We were invited to place our flower images in the Surgical Suite and in the ICU Suite at Methodist Hospital in Sacramento. My wife, Prem, an interior designer, designed the spaces, and our images brightened up what were pretty bland walls where people wait for their loved ones in difficulty.
This followed our commission at Mercy San Juan Hospital in Carmichael to place our images in the lobby of the hospital’s new tower. We’ve had many comments, especially about the Peace Rose, which I enlarged to 5 feet by 3 feet on canvas.
It’s located where people take the elevator to the floors where people are recovering from surgery and serious illnesses. Several visitors have commented that the image comforted them as they visited their loved ones.
