It’s hot out there but it’s cool to buy my book. It’s on sale, not a fire sale, thank goodness, but it is on sale for buy-one-get-one free.
A great gift for the holidays. Oh no, not the holidays. It’s too early for the holidays but it’s not too soon to take advantage of this sale. Celebrate the end of Covid…we hope. Only $35 through August 1st. Remember buy one, and you get one free. And shipping is included.
Update!
I’ve finished the second draft of my book, Sweet Crazy, Walking on the Edge. It’s a story of my travels and discoveries. It will be out in 2022. And it will be a gem if I say so myself. I’ll have new images, each of which I will comment on and they will be from my trips around the world.
Second Careers!
My wife Prem and I have been selected to be featured in a book that’s all about people who have made a significant career change later in life. The book includes some notable figures who you may have heard of like Robert Redford, Alan Alda, Gloria Steinam along with many others who are regular, non-celebrity types.
We’ve seen the pieces done on us and it’s fun. Prem is being featured for the work she’s doing with the Infinity Home we’re building together. It’s a holistic home where ancient wisdom meets modern science. It’s designed to nurture the mind, body and soul. It’s in the early stages of design and intended to meet the world’s strictest building standards, beyond LEED and beyond sustainable regenerative design.
The story they’ve included for me tells how I left the courtroom to become a nature photographer. It’s a good story that was a major shift for me. I made that switch in my 60s and I’m still glad about it.
The neat part about this book on second careers is that it’s proof that many people are finding a whole new life, and sometimes a career, as they get older. Today, the opportunities are out there for people to change careers and radically change their lives when in the old days, people used to retire. Instead, people continue to lead productive, active and amazing lives. This is an especially important topic right now as Covid has accelerated a trend of people questioning what they really want to do with their careers and what’s most important to them in life.
